This week at a press conference, Mayor Rodrigo Müller announced that the municipality will no longer be part of the Road Execution Unit that manages Provincial Routes No. 6 and 70.
“We made this decision in solidarity with the neighbors who must pay a toll every day and do not receive the necessary benefits from the executing unit. We are not useful in terms of service provision and we are not listened to when we request any change in management, it makes no sense to continue,” said the mayor.
On the other hand, the head of the municipal Executive stated that the Council was asked to approve the measure.
The Esperanza municipality has 24% of the participation in Road Corridor No. 9, which was born in the 90’s to manage the provincial routes between the State of Santa Fe along with the municipalities and communes, during the government of Carlos Reutemann.
“In addition to proposing a reform of the tax ordinance so that, from now on, the executing unit pays taxes for the activity it carries out and those income are used to improve patching and public works in the urban section of Routes No. 6 and 70,” he commented.

“We tried to change management issues inward, but as a defender of the city’s interests we do not feel represented, we ask the Municipal Council to approve the decision with the force of an ordinance. We are withdrawing from the administration, since it is a contract, it requires the authorization of the municipal council,” he added.
