We will see this the presentation of 50 children and young people who make up the Samacá Symphonic Band, in the International Band Contest in Valencia-Spain, for which they need to raise 200 million additional pesos to the 300 that they have already collected, to participate in one of the most important musical events that will take place from July 13 to 23.

“We call on the National and Departmental Governments and the municipal mayors who want to join, as well as the businessmen and people of Boyacá, we have not yet met the goal and what we are looking for is to fulfill a dream,” said Mayor Wilson Castiblanco Gil.

The Samacá Symphonic Band, which will represent Boyacá and Colombia, carries on its shoulders the responsibility, passion and desire to give the world a sample of the culture of a country through the musical notes and talent of each of the members. .

Parents, for their part, claim that they have done everything with their children such as bazaars, cultural events, raffles, shows, to raise funds, but there is still a lack of money.

“The trip is in less than a month, we have very little left, but we need everyone’s collaboration; We don’t want the kids to be left with hope, they rehearse day and night and the hardest thing would be to tell them that they will not go to Spain due to lack of resources,” said Dianit Cruz, mother of a member of the band.
