Less than 10 days after starting the America Cupit was announced how far Colombia will go, a selection that little by little she has established herself as the favorite for the title.
This ‘prediction’ was given by Opta Analysta portal that uses some statistics to analyze the performance that teams would have in certain sporting events.
It is important to say that these results are based on some performance things that the teams had in previous games, but that can change according to the level of each of the squads.

Thus, the results returned by Opta left three important things:
1. Argentina is the big favorite, with a 30.8% chance of winning the tournament and retaining their crown.
2. Brazil, as expected, is the second favorite. The Seleção triumphed in 23.3% of the Opta supercomputer simulations.
3. Uruguay is very attractive with Marcelo Bielsa (12.6%), but Bolivia and Jamaica’s chances of making it to the end are almost zero.

How far will Colombia go?
Although it is known that Colombia has a great squad, it seems that the statistics are not in its favor. Those led by Néstor Lorenzo have the possibility of 62.1% to advance to the quarterfinals, 31.8% to advance to the semis and 13.3% of going to the final.
