The Vice Prime Minister of the Republic of Cuba, Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz, concluded his work stay in that country, on the occasion of the celebration of the XI Session of the Cuban-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission for economic-commercial collaboration.

Before leaving Minsk, he held a meeting with Ms. Natalaia Kochanova, President of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, with whom he reviewed the main aspects of bilateral relations, the results of the XI Session of the Intergovernmental Commission and the monitoring through the Interparliamentary Commission of the agreements in the economic field.

Previously, he had met with Mr. Pavel Semenyuk, general director of the Belresursy Holding, charged by the Belarusian Government with the execution of the Compensated Exchange Agreement between both countries, whose tenth anniversary falls on June 24.

Cabrisas’ visit included contacts with Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and several members of the cabinet, as part of which the commitment of both governments to develop economic, commercial, financial and cooperation relations was ratified.

Especially significant were the results obtained after the meeting with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Evgeny Shestakov, who stressed “the invariability of the Belarusian position” regarding the unacceptability of the US blockade against Cuba and against the inclusion of the Island on the list of countries sponsoring international terrorism.
