The agreement was agreed with the business chambers of the sector and includes a salary increase of 5% for June, 4.5% for July and 4% for August.

The Argentine Federation of Commerce and Services Employees (FAECYS)Next to the Argentine Chamber of Commerce (CAC), the Confederation of Medium-sized Enterprises (CAME) and the Union of Commercial Entities (Udeca)signed this Thursday a joint agreement for the months of June, July and Augustreaching a salary basic of $858,200, with presenteeism.

The agreed increase is made up of an increase in the 5% for June, 4.5% for July and 4% for August.

AboutArmando Cavalieri, Secretary General of FAECYS, stressed: “It is essential to constantly monitor the economic and employment situation to ensure that wage adjustments remain effective and are not overtaken by inflation. Our priority is to protect workers’ income and ensure stability in the sector.”

He added: “We continue to monitor the dynamics of the labour market and are concerned about the increase in unemployment that is beginning to be reflected in some indicators, although it is true that we are coming from a historically low level of employment. This agreement is an important step towards ensuring the purchasing power of our workers in a complex economic context.”

The salary agreement signed today corresponds to this year’s Commerce joint meeting, which runs from March 2024 to April 2025.
