Given this, the parents of these minors demand that the local authority look for alternatives before a tragedy happens. It should be noted that this has not been happening since now, but the parents of the minors highlighted that they have been many months in this situation and no one answers them.
On the other hand, they state that minors from San José del Purgatorio, San Antonio Del Río, Los Pozos and El Carmen del Magdalena must be transported in canoes along the Magdalena River to attend their respective educational institutions, exposing themselves to accidents that could trigger tragedies.

On the other hand, in response to this problem, Mayor Armando Campuzano signed the On March 15, a contract was signed with the Plato 2024 School Transportation Consortium, represented by Jaime Carlos Pérez Barrios.
This agreement, valued at 1,217 million 515,871 pesos, aims to provide the special public transportation service in school mode for 150 calendar days for students of official educational institutions of the municipality of Plato, in the department of Magdalena, valid 2024.
