In the last hours, a new attack against the public force was recorded in the department of Cauca. The events were recorded in El Plateado, a town in the municipality of Algeria, when at least 6 grenades were thrown at the Army from some drones. 3 soldiers were injured.

These events are recorded after harassment that occurred in Cajibío, also in Cauca, against the public force. In Suárez, a municipality in the same department, harassment also occurred this Wednesday.

Dissidents attack police stations in Cauca and Valle

FARC dissidents attacked several stations in the departments of Cauca and Valle this Wednesday, June 12. The harassment occurred against the station of the town of Potrerito, rural area of ​​the municipality of Jamundí.

The community of Potrerito confirmed the new harassment with explosives and rifle rounds. The attack has generated panic among the community, for so many people remain sheltered in their homes.

In response to the harassment, the Army deployed his troops towards the area with the aim of protecting the population and restoring order.

The authorities are working in a coordinated manner to manage the situation and avoid any escalation of violence, as reported by the Jamundí Mayor’s Office in a statement.

“So far there are no injuries. However, we call on the community to remain calm, stay in their homes and follow the instructions of the authorities. “Your cooperation is essential to guarantee their safety and that of their families,” the statement concludes.
