The report ‘Tourism and Agenda 2030 in Córdoba’, prepared by the professors of the University of Córdoba (UCO) Maribel Rodríguez and Leonor Pérezoffers an in-depth analysis of the contribution of the Cordoba tourism sector to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Yet the Agenda 2030.

Women in the tourism sector often occupy management positions. low remuneration and less responsibility, which shows the need to continue strengthening gender equality policies. In this sense, the project Reorienta proposes to propose a series of proposals with a gender perspective so that companies can ensure compliance with SDG 5.

Sustainability as a transversal axis

The report indicates that, although the companies of Córdoba’s tourism sector have made notable progress in certain SDGs, the implementation of sustainability strategies remains a challenge, especially when it comes to gender equality. The absence of a gender perspective in these strategies can limit the positive impact of current initiatives.
