The provinces of Neuquén and Río Negro, through their governors, presented in Brazil, at the meeting organized by the Future Investment Initiative (FII Institute), the production of Vaca Muerta and the fruit potential of the North Patagonian region.
Neuquén works with a Brazilian energy company on the development that Vaca Muerta offers for the entire Southern Cone and investment options in the Neuquén basin.
“Vaca Muerta plays an important role for the entire Southern Cone in the energy transition process based on the development of gas, with the possibility of exporting to different countries on the continent such as Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Bolivia. The province has also been advancing actions for decarbonization, with the aim of exporting ‘Net Zero’ gas. The financing of these developments is one of the main topics of the meeting.”
Río Negro pointed to the pear and apple market that it has managed to develop with Brazil and also onions, because that country is the recipient of 90% of Rio Negro’s production.
Also, the work they have been doing with the Rio Negro technology company INVAP (Bariloche), fundamentally the Brazilian Multipurpose Reactor (RMB) project and other engineering projects.
“The RMB will bring important social benefits to Brazilian society, since it will guarantee the autonomous production of radioisotopes, allowing the expansion of the use of nuclear medicine in the neighboring country.”
It was officially reported that the FII PRIORITY Rio de Janeiro 2024 was held this year under the motto “Investing in dignity.” Some of the most influential investors in the world, business leaders, heads of state participate in the activity; among others.
During the day, exhibitors delved into how to invest in the ecological transition, technology and innovation.
