In the month in which the Pride LGBT+the municipal groups of PSOE and Hacemos Córdoba have brought a flag that represents these groups to the ordinary June plenary session at the Córdoba City Council. The flag, which has been placed in front of the socialist bench, seems to have not been liked by Vox.

The spokesperson for the municipal group Vox, Paula Badanelli, has interrupted the agenda of the session to ask the mayor, José María Bellido, to urge the removal of the flag, because he understands that with said exhibition the plenary session is used for ideological issues. Badanelli has also expressed his surprise that the mayor has allowed the flag to be hung from the bench and has reiterated his “most absolute opposition” to it being displayed.

Councilors Antonio Hurtado (PSOE) and José Carlos Ruiz, (we do), with the flag.

In response, the mayor did not get wet, and asked the spokesperson for the PSOE, Antonio Hurtado, who did want to respond to Vox’s request. Hurtado has stated that if the flag has been brought out in full it has been due to Vox’s opposition to joining, for another year, an institutional declaration of the entire corporation. “We cannot allow the ghetto of a party with three representatives to prevail,” said Hurtado, who recalled that the social majority of Córdoba is involved in the struggle of the LGBT community, as well as in the feminist struggle or against gender violence.

“They are itchy to see it”considers the socialist, in relation to the fact that the representatives of Vox They didn’t like the flag. Of course, Hurtado has recalled that this is a “phobic” message to public opinion, but then they are not like that in private and that they have “homosexuals in their homes.” “We have to stand up to them,” said Hurtado, who finally removed the flag from the bench and placed it around his neck.
