According to journalists in the area and members of the Army, the men of this illegal armed organization chose to abandon this vehicle when they realized the controls carried out by soldiers and police in this part of the country.

“Seeing that they could not take it to some of the urban centers in the area, where they possibly intended to activate it against the Army itself, what the lords of this armed group didIt was left abandoned on the side of the road”, explain journalists from this area of ​​Cauca.

Later, and according to members of the Army, it was found that this truck was conditioned withfourteen propane gas cylinderswhich were packed with Anfo-type explosive, for a total weight of 900 kilograms.

“These people from the Central General Staff of the FARC created an electrical activation system to activate these explosives so that the truck would function as a launching platform for the cylinders, which end up becoming mortars when attacking us or in other cases activating them as “truck-bomb”, reported soldiers consulted by the RCN FM.

In the midst of deactivating these elements, experts in the handling of explosives verified that they were14 propane gas cylinders of 100 and 40 pounds with Anfo, 200 meters of detonating cord and 14 electric studs.

After the discovery of the car, reported as stolen in Corinto, Cauca, the soldiers removed the car after deactivating these devices, seeking in this way to protect the indigenous communities that are settled in this part of northern Cauca.
