In the middle of a politically hot week, with debate and incidents in Congress over the Bases Law, the weather in the City of Buenos Aires seems to accompany the scene, with a streak of days of heat which will have its peak today. The forecast of National Meteorological Service (SMN) foresees for the Capital a maximum of 27 degreesan unusual record for these last days of autumn.
Far from being a spring day, this Thursday is cloudy and will remain that way throughout the day, with some lapse in the sun will peek through the clouds. All with 60% humidity.
The temperature forecast announced for today was very close to the historical record recorded by the SMN since 1961. The current peak is 28 degrees and was recorded on June 7, 2005. This means that if the thermometer today exceeds 1, 1 degrees the maximum announced, will set a new record.
Curiously, in the statistical grid of the official organization, juNio is the only month that does not have a peak temperature above 30 degrees in the last six decades. Even in the middle of winter, July has a record of 30.2° (in 1979) and the record logically occurred in summer: 41.5° in January 2022.
