The call for applications to the “Contextualized Intercultural Teaching for Life” workshop cycle is extended

The Ministry of Education of Tucumán, through the International Scholarship Program of the Directorate of Non-University Higher Education, will launch the cycle of Workshops ‘Contextualized Intercultural Teaching for Life’by the teacher Katherine Hammer, Fulbright DASt (Distinguished Awards in Teaching) Program scholar. They will be held at the CIIDEPT Innovation Center (Av. José Ingenieros 260, San Miguel de Tucumán) in five meetings on June 18, 25 and 28 and on July 2 and 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The objective of the workshop cycle is to «Updating English Teaching Practices at the Primary Level»and it is possible thanks to the coordination work between the Directorate of Primary Education and the Directorate of Non-University Higher Education.

Thanks to international agreements between the Fulbright Commission (USA) and the Ministry of Education of the Argentine Republic, the DASt scholarship is awarded to teachers who are specialists in the teaching of foreign languages, who have demonstrated outstanding professional performance in their career. For six weeks, the teacher visits educational institutions, provides training and pedagogical advice, sharing her experiences, while learning about our educational system and our culture. This year Argentina welcomes two specialist teachers from the US, Katherine Hammer, in Salta and Tucumán, and Bonnie Gedig, in CABA.
