A total of 20 people were certified by SENA.

Tunja, June 13, 2024. (UACP). The Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, through the Water Resources team, in coordination with SENA, the Municipal Council and the Mayor’s Office of San Eduardo, trained plumbers from the province of Lengupá in the fundamentals of water purification.

The activity was carried out through a provincial call aimed at people who are part of the rural aqueduct associations of San Eduardo, Berbeo and Páez.

As a result, a total of 20 plumbers were certified by SENA. The training, which combined theory with practice, included a visit to the San Eduardo Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).

In addition, the jar test was carried out in the laboratory of that WWTP. This is a test that simulates the conditions in which the chemical oxidation, coagulation, flocculation and sedimentation processes of the plant are carried out, providing a complete and enriching experience for the participants.

This initiative represents an important step towards strengthening local capacities in water resource management and guaranteeing a safe and quality drinking water supply for communities.
