As a culmination of his official visit to Russia, the member of the Political Bureau and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, held talks with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, with whom he addressed various aspects of the bilateral strategic partnership.

After the meeting, in statements to the media, the visitor condemned the unilateral sanctions of the United States and “the policy of isolation that has been applied against the Russian Federation, even in international organizations.”

Likewise, he rejected the expansion of NATO towards the Russian border, which led to the current conflict in Europe, especially between Moscow and kyiv, and advocated for a diplomatic, constructive and realistic solution to the existing crisis in the region, the Cuban Foreign Ministry published. on their website.

Lavrov, for his part, demanded the removal of Cuba from the list of States sponsoring terrorism, “an absolute anomaly,” because Washington itself resorts to “blatant methods of terror.”

He added that Moscow will continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Havana, given the negative impact of the illegal blockade imposed by the US.

The Cuban Foreign Minister also paid tribute before the monument dedicated to the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, and visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, to honor the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.
