What happened

During the night of May 30, a serious shootout occurred between three men, which caused commotion in the Los Plátanos neighborhood.

The fight occurred at 1,300 Juan Bautista Gaona Street where they met again after having had an argument hours before.

After the shooting, a 44-year-old man, identified as Lucas López, 33, who was shot in the head, died hours later at the San Roque Hospital.

The third man involved, 39 years old, received a wound in his left leg and was admitted to the Elpidio Torres Hospital, and was detained.

This is Cristian “Coquito” Torres, one of the leaders of the Belgrano brava group, who along with Lucas Pavón and Pedro “Gitano” Minuet is one of the group’s greatest leaders.

The first versions indicated that Torres would have had a previous argument with the other men and would have returned to the neighborhood hours later when the shooting occurred.

According to investigation sources, Torres appeared at the scene aboard a Toyota Corolla car and opened fire on relatives of the person with whom he had the previous altercation.

“Coquito” Torres had a whereabouts request issued by Justice.

In principle, it would have been Torres himself who notified the police at Parque Liceo Segunda Seccion (where he resides) that he had participated in a fight with gunshots and that he was wounded in one of his legs.

Upon entering the hospital it was found that he had a gunshot wound with an entry and exit hole and a fractured tibia in his right leg. He was hospitalized, stable and in police custody.

At the place where the shooting occurred, the blood stains of the wounded and at least a dozen 9-millimeter caliber shells remained as evidence.
