The District Mayor’s Office of Santa Marta, in a historic event, has confirmed the payment of the Saber and PreSaber Tests for students in the tenth and eleventh grades of the educational institutions of this capital, benefiting more than 9 thousand students at those levels.
This was announced by the Secretary of District Education, Sandra Patricia Muñoz Dorado, who, following the guidelines of Mayor Carlos Pinedo Cuello, reaffirmed the commitment of this administration to the educational sector.
In this sense, more than 700 million pesos are being invested with the aim of improving educational quality indicators, in which Santa Marta is located in the last places nationwide.
“This is a transcendental and historic fact because, for the first time, the district administration, under the leadership of Carlos Pinedo Cuello, has allocated a significant resource that exceeds 700 million pesos for the payment of the Saber Tests for eleventh and PreSaber for tenth graders, in order to reaffirm our commitment to the true transformation of the educational sector,” declared the Secretary of Education, Sandra Patricia Muñoz.
The amount established by the Icfes for the State Tests is currently 166 thousand pesos per student, resources that, from now on, the parents of the students of the last two years in Santa Marta will not have to think about.
