The Departmental Assembly of Tolima approved thedraft ordinance that institutionalizes‘Sports Tolima Fan’s Day’. This celebration will be celebrated every May 23.
The Liberal Party deputy, Julio Morato, promoted the initiative with the purpose ofexalt the loyalty of the fans, motivate them to continue supporting the teamand demonstrate to citizens their social value.

“We want not only to recognize the daily support of the fan with his team, but also to make the department understand that the fan becomes a very important social actor because it generates belonging, representativeness, identity and most importantly, it generates unity. . From there social construction is also carried out,” explained the deputy.
Likewise, he announced that the choice of the date of the celebration is due to the fact that just oneMay 23, the former senator, businessman and top leader of Deportes Tolima was bornGabriel Camargo Salamanca, who died in November 2022.
He pointed out that this commemoration will materialize in events and tributes to be organized by the Tolima Sports Institute (Indeportes Tolima).
“The ordinance is dated May 23, the birthday of Camargo, this great leader who made Deportes Tolima achieve what it is at this moment.“What we want is for Indeportes to recognize that day.”added the assemblyman.
