The official added that, at the moment, there are 14 cases in the laboratory that are being analyzed by the National Institute of Health and made a strong call to the communities of Huila to become aware and help eliminate any focus where the mosquito that transmits dengue reproduces.

“I reiterate to citizens that they wash the pools and tanks for storing clean water well, and destroy containers such as bottles and tires, because that is where all this dengue problem is generated, which we have today,” concluded the health secretary.

Indeed, Neiva, Pitalito and Garzón are the municipalities with the most cases of dengue, and 378 patients are in serious condition.
