From today, 176 cyclists start a competition where they will take the Colombian roads and carry out several routes in some departments of the country.

This route crosses the departments of Valley, Boyacá, Cundinamarca, Tolima, Caldas, Risaralda, and Antioquia.

For this new edition the route will cover 1,295 kilometers and will have the participation of 25 groups from the country. Furthermore, of the 25 teams, five are foreign.

So, this route that begins today Friday June 14 and ends June 23will have a total of nine stages to define the winner.

When does it pass through the Valley?

For cycling fans, the wait will end on June 20, when the sixth stage of the race takes place. This, because to date they will be able to live the day in which cyclists will reach the Valley during the ‘Vuelta a Colombia’.

This route will pass through: Buga – San Carlos – San Pedro – Variante Tuluá – Bugalagrande – La Paila – Zarzal – Obando – Zaragoza – Cartago – Cerrito – La Virginia – Cruce Balboa – Santuario – Apía. In the end they will travel 173.3 kilometers.

Likewise, this competition will have a total of nine stages to define the winner.

Route: Departure at the El Chivoreño Restaurant – Arrival at the Main Park of Macanal – 7.4 kilometers

Stage 1 – June 15

Route: Guateque – Macheta – Sisga – Chocontá – Villapinzón – Ventaquemada – Tunja bypass to Cómbita crossing – Tunja variant return – Tunja Terminal – Oreja via Chivatá – 151.4 kilometers

Stage 2 – June 16
Route: Paipa – Tunja – Ventaquemada – Villapinzón – Chocontá – Sesquilé Crossing – Gachancipá – Tocancipá – 139.3 kilometers

Stage 8 – June 22

Stage 9 – June 23
Route: Individual Time Trial – Departure at the EPM Smart Building – Envigado – Arrival at Alto de Las Palmas – 17.3 kilometers
