An exhibition celebrates the 40 years of Cajasur Deportivo Córdoba

Deportivo Córdoba women’s indoor soccer team has celebrated its 40 years of history with various events. The entity chaired by Rafael Pablo García has organized an exhibition of photos and press articles in the Baroque Patio of the Provincial Council headquarters. It has also held a cadet category tournament in Vista Alegre. The president of the Provincial Council, Salvador Fuentes, attended the opening of the photographic exhibition.

The historic futsal entity has two First Division league titles, a Spanish Super Cup, an Iberian Cup and four Andalusian Cups, as well as numerous crowns in the Provincial Cup in the senior and female cadet categories. He currently plays in the Andalusian Honor Division.

Salvador Fuentes’ assessment

At the opening of the exhibition, Fuentes valued the role that this club has been playing in its 40 years of history, “being a benchmark in women’s futsal, visualizing women in sport and giving them the role they deserve. I am sure that in these 40 years there will have been difficult moments and other kinder ones, but the most important thing is that a true family has been forged,” she stressed.

Inma Sojo is the current captain of Deportivo, as well as the only active player in the club remaining from those teams that won the First Division leagues in the 2008-2009 and 2009-2010 campaigns.
