Paris 2024 Olympic Games: This achievement was achieved by Alejandro Solarte, who has been competing in other competitions such as the Pan American Games, where he won the bronze medal.

The Colombian delegation to the Paris Olympic Games reached 72 representatives at the competitions, with the announcement of Alejandro Solarte’s most recent quota in 10-meter platform diving.

“After the completion of the Olympic qualification process for diving, the International Swimming Federation confirmed the assignment to Colombia of a men’s Olympic quota in the 10-meter platform event,” the Colombian Olympic Committee said in a statement.

Solarte joins Luis Felipe Uribe and Daniel Restrepo, both also in diving, but on a three-meter platform. In this way, three Colombians have qualified for the Olympic Games in the diving modality of swimming.

The 22-year-old from Valle del Cauca has just been a bronze medalist in the last Pan American Games in Santiago in the synchronized event. In 2022 he was also a medalist in the Diving World Cup. In Paris it will be his debut in the Olympic Games.

Colombia has 72 places in the fairs and its goal is to reach 80 places. At the moment he has guaranteed participation in sports such as boxing, athletics, wrestling, archery and trampoline gymnastics, among others. The Olympic Games will be from July 26 to August 11 and will be broadcast on Colombian National Radio.
