An adult man was in danger after apparently trying to sneak onto a route of the Integrated Transportation System, Sitp. The person was left hanging from the door and despite the infraction, the driver preferred to continue with the journey, putting this person’s life at risk.
“I should stop, really. Neighbor, open up, that boy is going to fall. He can die.” “Don’t you see how the doors have him by the neck?” some passengers are heard complaining.
In the video, you can see how after insistent requests, the driver finally depressurizes the doors, allowing the person to be safe.

From Transmilenio they reported that they are already finding out the date, route and time in which this event occurred to take respective measures. Likewise, they called to rescue common sense and citizen culture in order to “be able to improve the conditions of coexistence in the city,” they stated.
Fare evasion in the Integrated Transportation System continues to be one of the District’s great challenges to balance the enormous deficit of the Bogotá transportation system. In 2023, there were eight evasion-related deaths and 45 accidents.
According to the National Code of Citizen Security and Coexistence, it is established that sanctioning measures for improper conduct in Transmilenio, such as evasion of paying fares, entail sanctions, classified as type 1 or type 2 fines.
The amount to be paid in a type 1 fine, which is applied to people who “enter and exit stations or portals through places other than the doors designated for this purpose,” costs $77,333.
