Patricio Acosta, president of the Automovilistas Furiosos group, maintains that, “the rains are a death trap for car tires, a mirror is made, the water remains in these craters or events and the depth is not seen.”

As for the Metropolitan region, Maipú is one of the communes with the most potholes, followed by Estación Central and Santiago. The UDD professional explains that, “the municipalities are in charge of managing public goods, that is why they must take care of the potholes and the private ones with the highways and roads.”
Who should fix potholes in the streets?
For its part, Tomás Vodanovic, mayor of Maipú assures that, “we have executed more than 15 billion in street repairs during the last two years, however, the series of rains has generated great damage and deterioration in different streets of the commune, which has made us redouble the effort municipal to generate street repairs in different sectors”.
The solution, according to the Angry Motorists spokesperson, is to fix the streets completely and not cover the events with patches, since the situation will continue to repeat itself.
