The Recognition Bonus is a benefit intended for workers who made the transition from the old pension regime based on the pay-as-you-go system to the current Pension Fund Administrators (AFP) scheme. Here we present the details to obtain this bonus.

Whois can they receive it?

To be eligible, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Having belonged to one of the former provident funds of the old system.
  2. Comply with at least 12 monthly contributions in a former provident fund between November 1, 1975 and October 31, 1980.
  3. If you do not meet the previous requirement, register at least one contribution in a former Provident Fund between July 1, 1979 and the month prior to the date of affiliation to the AFP system.

    Steps to obtain the Recognition Bonus

    1. Make a request in the current AFP in which you are contributing.
    2. Complete the Recognition Bond Calculation and Issuance Request Form, detailing the information of the Individual Capitalization Account.
    3. If you are benefited, complete another form providing information about your colleagues.

    Entities in charge of administering the bonus

    The responsibility for managing and delivering this benefit falls on specific entities of the pension system, such as the Social Security Institute (IPS), the National Defense Provident Fund (Capredena) and the Pension Directorate of the Carabineros of Chile (Dipreca). .
