Papacci recalled that this agency was born after the triumph of the Cuban Revolution in 1959, under the direction of the Argentine journalist Ricardo Massetti, and from the first moments it had in its team of information professionals prominent figures from the Great Homeland such as Rodolfo Walsh and Gabriel García Márquez, among others.
Prensa Latina, he said, “has survived the most diverse attacks in its 65 years of life, and already has some 40 correspondents around the world.”
He highlighted in particular that his correspondents in Italy constantly follow the solidarity work, including the activities carried out by Anaic, as well as all the most important events in that European nation.
