Information from BANDEC on sending money to its clients in Cuba

The Bank of Credit and Commerce of Cuba (BANDEC) reported this June 15, about sending money to Cuba in the form of remittances to the bank magnetic cards in its branches and left this recommendation.

As we announced this week, FINCIMEX, the Cuban financial agency, unexpectedly announced the suspension of the remittance sending service to Cuba from Small World, one of the main companies in the sector.

The measure, which also affected other countries, has generated uncertainty among users who depend on these remittances to support their relatives on the island, especially from Europe.

Precisely, BANDEC recommends to its clients in Europe, a route from the “Old Continent” to send money to Cuba, as an alternative to leaving Small World.

“Guarantee your shipments from Europe with Tocopay. Take advantage of the most favorable exchange rate on the market, and the fastest deposits,” reads Bandec’s message on its Telegram channel this Father’s Day weekend.

Although the suspension of Small World is a serious blow to remittances to Cuba, which represent a vital source of income for many families, there are alternatives and that is what Bandec tried to report.

How to send money to Cuba from this platform? To send money through its website, the sender must have an international card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro or UnionPay), prepaid, credit or debit, enabled for Secure Internet Payments.

Meanwhile, the beneficiary in Cuba must be the holder of an AIS, CLASICA or MLC card from the Metropolitan, Popular Savings (BPA) or Credit and Commerce (BANDEC) banks.

The Cuban credit bank also decided to remember a bonus in force on this special Father’s Day.

“From June 14 to 16, a Special Bonus for shipments of 350 MLC or more and the Raffle for a Food Basket for Dad,” they concluded.
