The peak and plate is a vehicle restriction measure implemented in cities such as Bogotá, Medellín and Cali, with the aim of reducing vehicle congestion and improving air quality. It consists of prohibiting the circulation of private vehicles during certain hours of the day.

According to decree 4112.010.20.0029 of January 19, 2024, the peak and plate measure in Cali is in effect from Monday, January 22, until June 30, 2024.
There, a restriction was established on the circulation of vehicles in the urban perimeter between 06:00 am and 8:00 pm, taking the last digit of the license plate as a reference. So, this is the peak and plate of the week:
- Monday June 17: 9 and 0
- Tuesday June 18:1 and 2
- Wednesday June 19: 3 and 4
- Thursday June 20: 5 and 6
- Friday, June 21st: 7 and 8
The measure does not apply on Saturdays, Sundays, or holidays. However, there may be exceptions. If you travel at times that you should not, the penalty of 15 Current Minimum Daily Wages will be applied. But, not having the SOAT or the technomechanics up to date, they can also file a summons.
