“I had committed to making the first payment on Wednesday. The President of the Republic has asked me that it not be on Wednesday, that it be on Tuesday,” said the Secretary of State, after concluding a new meeting of the Disaster Risk Management Committee (Cogrid).
According to information from the Government, more than 11 thousand people were affected by the rains, 10 thousand of them are in the Bío Bío region.
Monsalve assured that “there are more than 50 people applying the FIBE form” in Curanilahue, the commune most affected by the catastrophe.
However, he clarified that “this payment of the recovery bonus is not only for Curanilahue, it is for the entire Bío Bío region and for the families that have been affected in all regions of Chile.”
As explained, the amounts of the recovery bonus will be assigned “according to the impact on the home.”
In the case of a “minor impact, it will imply a deposit in the CuentaRut of a benefit of 25 UF, which is close to 900 thousand pesos; If the impact is moderate, 50 UF, which is an amount of 1 million 800 thousand pesos,” Monsalve explained.
