The Chocó Archery League, based in the municipality of Riosucio, announced that Yedis Yisela Mena Panesso, a prominent local athlete, has been called to join the Colombian Archery Team.

Yedis Yisela achieved a national archery bronze medal several months ago, in the National Archery Development Championship at the South American Field of the Sports Unit of Belén, Medellín.

Mena Panesso, student at the Antonio Ricaurte Educational Institution and Sports Club, will represent the country, the department and the municipality in the Development Championship to be held in Jamaica from July 9 to 15. Previously, she will participate in the national rally in Medellín from July 1 to 8.

This achievement is the result of the joint effort between athletes, coaches, and the administrative support of the League, directed by its president Karent Bejarano.

The League also thanks Edwin Martínez Raga, a pioneer in the formation of this organization and promoter of archery in the region.

Additionally, the League recognizes the contribution of several strategic partners, including the Amor y Vida Foundation for Chocó, the Association of Community Mothers of Riosucio, and the Foundation for Social and Agro-Environmental Development of Chocó, among others. This support has been essential for the League’s participation in important competitions such as the interleague tournament and they hope to continue collaborating for the growth and success of their athletes.
