Piero Hernández died in the line of duty, on October 15, 2012.
Within the framework of the 91st anniversary of the Chilean Investigative Police, on the morning of this Sunday, June 16, they paid tribute to Piero Hernández Carmona.
Hernández was born in Río Bueno on June 16, 1990 and died in the line of duty, on October 15, 2012, while performing duties in Santiago.
According to what is indicated by the institution, this activity seeks to recognize those officials who gave their lives in the fulfillment of their duty and their promise of service, and is carried out at the institutional level every June 16.
The activity was led by the head of the Los Ríos Police Region, Prefect Inspector Leopoldo Bascuñán Gómez. “The legacy that the martyr Piero Hernández has left us is a source of inspiration for all detectives who work daily for a safer society,” he said.
