Around 3:00 in the afternoon this Sunday, on the road that connects Timba (Cauca) with the Robles district (Jamundí), The vehicle in which Sigifredo Márquez Trujillo, father of Vice President Francia Márquez, was traveling, was hit on four occasions due to shooting by armed men on a motorcycle.
According to the latest report from the authorities, Mr. Márquez Trujillo was not alone, but he was accompanied by a minor, apparently the nephew of the vice president, whose name has not been revealed. Fortunately, both were unharmed and they are currently at the Robles – Jamundí Police Substation, under protection and receiving the necessary care after the attack.
