Rafael Dudamel continues writing its history in Colombian professional soccer. The Venezuelan coach won his second title in the country with Bucaramanga to whom he gave his first star in 75 years of history.

The Santander team won the final against Santa Fe on Saturday after winning the penalty shootout 6-5 at the El Campín stadium in Bogotá.

For his part, in 2021, Dudamel had achieved his first title when he gave the tenth star to Deportivo Cali winning the final against Deportes Tolima.

Well, the two titles of the 51-year-old technician leave him one away from an important record that only four foreigners have in the FPC. And Dudamel, if he wins the League next time, would be the fifth foreign coach with the most league wins in the country.

With three League titles, the Argentine Adolfo Pedernera, Francisco Villegas and Óscar Hector Quintabani and the Uruguayan Julio Comesaña are the foreign coaches who have won the most first division tournaments in the country. Quintabani is the only one who has been champion with two clubs.

Adolfo Pedernera – Millionaires (1951, 1952, 1953)

Francisco Villegas – Cali (1965, 1967 and 1969)

Óscar Hector Quintabani – Pasto (2006), National (2007-I and 2007-II)

Julio Comesaña – Junior (1993, 2018-II and 2019-I)
