After its recent premiere, the show “Between shadows” continues to be presented at Galpón de Guevara, under the direction of Bruno Pedicone.

With performances every Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., this production by Michael Cristofer has won the Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Best Drama and the Tony Award for Best Dramatic Work.

The cast of “Entre Sombras” is made up of Caro Babich, Juan Manuel Barrera Hernández, Eugenia Correa, José Manuel Espeche, Mela Lenoir, Pablo Mónaco, Isabel Noya, Nicolas Sousa and Mariano Ulanovsky

Three people. Three different lives. Three different stages of acceptance of what unites them: all three are dying. Accompanied by their family and friends, in a hospice in the forest, they will be observed, analyzed and studied by an interviewer while they share their fears, their loves and their hope. This moving, sensitive, and emotionally risky work reveals the value of life.

Director Bruno Pedicone noted: “For our Western society, death is considered something bad, the end. “A tragedy of destiny linked to pain and helplessness that has no solution.” “It is a taboo subject. A shadow part of the human being. A mysterious matter that we do not want to ‘realize much’ about, that we prefer not to see, raise awareness about, much less talk about,” he added.

For Pedicone “we try by all possible means (ideological, religious, philosophical concepts) to appease the uncertainty and anguish generated by its latent presence. We do everything so as not to think and perhaps even delay, why not, the inexorable encounter with that moment of life, death.”

For this reason, “this is a material that is deep down an invitation to life, it is redemptive. A deep and sensitive reflection on the importance and significance of being alive. Take advantage of our time, whatever it may be, to redefine that mystery. To say what we want to say, to communicate, to really encounter the power of life, of our ties, to not forget to tell the people we love today what they mean to us. To enjoy our fleeting passage, but passage at last, to live life as it is presented to us, in its mysterious wisdom. Because when one says ‘life’, he is saying at the same time ‘death’. Because learning to live may inevitably lead us to learning to die.”
