The Cooperation and Investment Agency of Medellín and the Metropolitan Area –ACI formalized its entry into the National Network of Investment Promotion Agencies or Red Invest, in an event held in the city of Ibagué.

This network was created in 2023 and has 14 agencies throughout the country. Its purpose is to articulate the transfer of good practices and successful experiences, facilitate knowledge management and participate in dialogues and construction of public policy guidelines related to investment, trade and internationalization.

The executive director of the ACI Medellín, Cristina Zambrano, expressed that “With the new District Administration, the city is recovering its economic, social and environmental direction, through collaborative work with the public sector, academia and all the associations that are a fundamental part of the development. The synergy with these entities will allow Medellín to enhance its ability to attract investments and promote economic growth. For us, this represents a milestone and a challenge”.

The Invest Network will work in three lines, such as: identifying obstacles to direct investment in the regions, in order to define an action plan to resolve them and facilitate the arrival of new investments; position the regions through the development of an integrated communications strategy with ProColombia; and exchange good practices.

At the event, a memorandum of understanding was signed in order to strengthen the corporate governance of the network, which currently includes 19 Regional Investment Promotion Agencies (Apris).

The network was made up of the Invests of Armenia, Bogotá, Cartagena, Cúcuta, Huila, Manizales, Nariño, Oriente Antioquia, Orinoquia, Pacífico, Pereira, Santa Marta, Tolima, Destino Santander, Medellín Cooperation and Investment Agency-ACI, ProBarrancabermeja , ProBarranquilla, ProMontería and ProSincelejo.
