The best, my friend, my confidant“, with those three words the president of the Dominican Alliance against Corruption (Adocco), Julio César de la Rosadescribed his second son, who died this Sunday after being hit by a vehicle.

Is about Julio César de la Rosa Peralta33 years old, a young man who studied Social Communication at the Santo Domingo Catholic University (UCSD) and coordinated some digital newspapers in a “small business” of the family, according to his father.

The head of Adocco told journalists that today he planned to meet with his son to resolve some issues “in the countryside”, since he “very much liked” the countryside.

But, trying to call him in the morning, something that was a “custom”, and not being able to communicate, aroused uncertainty in de la Rosa.

“When I didn’t communicate in the morning, I started calling the house, he lived with his grandmother, who is my mother, and that’s when the investigation began at once,” he said.

Peralta, who was a single man, was reported missing by his father through social media.

“He was missing from us since last night (Saturday the 15th). We had no communication. We began to investigate until they told us that his vehicle was in the Digesett warehouse in La Victoria,” said the owner of Adocco.

“We went, we saw the vehicle, then, so far, they referred us here (to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences of the Cristo Redentor cemetery) and they have confirmed to us that his body is here,” he continued.

At the moment, the name of the driver who, according to de la Rosa, ran over his 33-year-old son is unknown. The place where the accident occurred is also unknown.

However, he announced that he will have those details starting this Monday the 17th.

The president of Adocco said that both he and his son were together on Saturday, in San Cristobalsharing with other family members until approximately 10:20 at night.

“He was on his way to the house. He didn’t arrive, and from there we started (to investigate),” he said.

At the time of writing these lines, with the clock showing 8:07 at night, de la Rosa and other relatives are in the Inacif del Christ the Redeemer Cemeterywaiting for his son’s body to be delivered to him.
