The Plaza de España, the axis of Alfaro’s social life, woke up yesterday with a different appearance. In the heart of it several rectangular-shaped tents grew. Throughout the day they were going to host around twenty commercial and hospitality establishments showing their … products and services to everyone who came to their stalls. It was the form adopted by the first edition of the Local Product Fair, promoted by the Department of Citizen Participation, Commerce and Restoration of the Alfaro City Council together with the Economic Development Agency of La Rioja (ADER).
With this distribution, the Plaza de España became an open-air shopping center that brought together a good representation of Alfaro commerce and hospitality. With the sun already summery on the last Sunday of spring, hundreds of people paraded in front of the stalls from midday. A good influx that continued throughout the afternoon until reaching the culmination of this Local Product Fair: a parade in which a good part of the products that the more than twenty participating establishments had presented to the public throughout the day came to life.
With soft ambient music, the public was able to look into the stalls. He found everything from fresh fruit to feed stomachs and refrigerators to travel plans in local agencies to enrich rest and expand borders.
Because those who visited the fair found all the sectors they needed to cover their needs and tastes. And also, raising the flag that they can be covered in the same town with establishments run by trust, by neighbors who call each other by their first names, surnames and nicknames, who advise from experience, knowledge and closeness.
From opticians to jewelry stores, fashion, footwear and accessories for the whole family, from children to adults, florists to fill the home with aromas and colors, bookstores-stationery stores for all types of orders, hardware stores for whatever is needed for the home, in addition to insurance companies… or hairdressers and styling. Several of the stalls adorned their presence with workshops, such as decorating cards for children or tying ties, with significant discounts and gifts to attract purchases or hairstyle exhibitions… A true demonstration of their capabilities.
