Last year, In the 2023 edition, semi-permanent merchants also protested and even held a sit-in in front of the board’s offices, also for the charges and the limited spaces that were granted to them; On that occasion, they reached an agreement with at least one of the organizations that represent them.

With respect to merchants who set up shop outside the fairgrounds, it is up to the Municipal Commerce Directorate to grant permits; Last year, around twenty stalls of various types were authorized, mainly by local merchants and not foreigners.
