Governor Gustavo Sáenz presented the Vice President of the Nation with the Güemes Pact, with the signature of social and political actors from the province.

Within the framework of the civic-military parade in honor of the General Martín Miguel de Güemes, The Güemes Pact promoted by the governor was read Gustavo Saenz.

The document begins by highlighting the serious situation that the country and the province of Salta are going through, pointing out the application of closed policies and mistakes by different national governments over the years.

“We chose for the signing of this document the date of June 17, which is not just another date in the calendar of Argentine history, but rather the day on which the entire country remembers the passage to immortality of General Martín Miguel de Güemes. A man from Salta who dedicated his body and soul to the task of building a free, fair and balanced nation. This generation of Salteños cannot be indifferent to these challenges that we face today and we must listen carefully to the clamor of our fellow citizens,” indicates the Pact.

Likewise, he states that works such as schools and routes bring the province closer to progress, and emphasizes the bi-oceanic corridor “which has an outstanding place in the provincial strategic plan.”

Finally, it requests the Nation to reverse the situation, under the conditions and deadlines that are possible. “We do not do it in the name of political parties or sectors, we do it for Salta and the country,” he concluded.

The document was delivered by the president to the vice president Victoria Villarruelalong with a proposal for a federal tax sharing regime and a bi-oceanic corridor project.

Also present were the governors Raúl Jalil (Catamarca), Gerardo Zamora (Santiago del Estero), Carlos Sadir (Jujuy) and Osvaldo Jaldo (Tucumán).
