- That Peru does not defeat Argentina, which is already classified. This means that Peru must draw or lose against Argentina.
- If Peru wins its match and reaches four points, the classification will be decided by the goal difference between the teams tied on points.
In the event that Chile draws or loses against Canada, Canada would be above Chile in the standings.. This would mean that Chile would be eliminated in the group stage, something that has not happened in a Copa América in the last 20 years.
