In the fifth edition of this Program, the Colombian American Chamber will train and promote 20 enterprises in the country, led by women, from various sectors such as fashion, agro-industrial, health, services, manufacturing, food, commerce, among others.

Bogotá, June 17, 2024 (AmCham Colombia).- The Colombian American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham Colombia) began the fifth version of its Scale Entrepreneurship Program that, this year, will train and promote 20 ventures in the country led by women, with the support of PwC, Gómez Pinzón Abogados, Universidad Santo Tomás, FedEx and Treebu Latam.

The president of AmCham Colombia, María Claudia Lacouture, indicated that “from a total of 137 ventures registered in this edition of Scale, we selected 20 ventures that are female or composed mainly of women that, in addition to being potentially successful, generate positive impacts in social terms. environmental, economic and innovation”.

He added that the training process will be developed virtually through a series of 18 workshops that include a diagnosis of entrepreneurship, analysis of the business model, analysis of the market environment, legal skills and entrepreneurship skills; as well as specialized consulting spaces for each of the participating ventures.

El Cielo en Arte is one of the ventures selected in this edition of Scale. According to its creator, Alexandra Ortiz, “when we received the news that we were chosen, the emotion was very great because what Scale does is provide support to ventures like us, with social commitment, that want to have a greater vision, scaling and to be able to grow more.”

For Daniela Tapasco, founder of Cleo Esencial, another of the participating ventures, being part of this Program is a good way to expand into new markets. “We see in Scale a valuable opportunity to learn and grow. We hope to create strategic alliances locally and in other cities, as well as take our business to other countries.”

For her part, Laura Raga, creator of G-Black, believes that having been selected by Scale will provide them with various benefits, including developing a solid and scalable business plan. “This Program is an excellent opportunity since it will not only provide us with specialized mentoring that will help us take our company to the next level, but also develop skills to successfully lead our team and connect with entrepreneurs who face challenges similar to ours.”

The 20 ventures selected in the fifth edition of Scale are part of various sectors such as fashion and accessories, agro-industrial, health and well-being, services, manufacturing, food and gastronomy, commerce, cultural and creative industries, cleantechelectronic commerce, among others.

These are the selected ventures:

1. Heaven in Art: is dedicated to painting jackets and clothing items by hand, creating unique and personalized designs. Beyond fashion, the company stands out for its social commitment, allocating part of its income to bring painting workshops to cancer patients.

2. Rénové: extends the life cycle of fashion products through technology. Its purpose is to connect the fashion ecosystem in order to reduce textile waste and educate to encourage more responsible consumption.

3. Wild boar chili fruit: It is dedicated to the production, sale and marketing of chili peppers made from cape gooseberry, mango, blackberry and gulupa fruits.

4. Inspyrate – Psychology and Relaxation: Provides psychological care for problems of depression, anxiety, stress, coexistence and learning difficulties. Additionally, it designs and executes programs related to physical and emotional self-care for companies, educational institutions and private groups.

5. Lina’s Closet: sells second-hand clothing, online and offline, giving it added value of image consulting.

6. Montañita de Quesos SAS: offers table service for drinks and food. It seeks to create gastronomic experiences with Colombian cheese as its main actor.

7. Cleo Essential: sells personal care and aromatherapy products with formulations based on botanical active ingredients and bio-friendly packaging. Promotes care for the planet while improving people’s well-being.

8. Plumage: makes clothing with versatile, sustainable and functional characteristics, with the use of high-performance materials that guarantee the quality and durability of each product.

9. Isabella Vejar: is dedicated to the design of jewelry handmade by Colombian artisans and inspired by Colombian fauna and flora.

10. Catalina Caycedo Accessories: is dedicated to the design, manufacture and marketing of artisanal jewelry hand-woven with beads and their derivatives.

eleven. Laumila Floral Boutique: creative floral agency that has different lines of business (weddings, education, workshops, boutique) that seeks to encourage a lifestyle through flowers

12. Vanessa Niño: produces hand-embroidered earrings and pins using the embroidery technique, and designs footwear and leather goods with striking designs.

13. Stories Factory Hat: produces custom made-to-measure hats.

14. Pl Duchess SAS: offers personalized, business and social details, for all occasions, made with chocolate.

fifteen. G-Black: manufactures and markets ecological products designed for washing cars without water.

16. Communtiylab SAS: is dedicated to waste traceability through IT, IOT, AI, research and development in new materials produced from organic waste.

17. Seawater by Maria’l: produces and markets natural hair products made with inputs directly from fields in Antioquia, free of chemicals.

18. Chocolate Nunchuah SAS: produces cocoa, chocolate and confectionery products with natural, organic and healthy chocolate.

19. Rosario Salazar Fashion: creates women’s footwear and style clothing oversize and slowfashion with interventions of artisanal techniques on handloom, short editions.

twenty. Abracadabra Dance Academy: offers personalized classes for couples and groups classified by age from three years and up.

“Since its launch in 2020, the Scale Program has promoted 50 Colombian startups. This year, we will support 20 more with the objective of scaling their business models and contributing to the generation of employment and the development of the regions,” highlighted the president of AmCham Colombia.
