Chain 3 Argentina Starting this Tuesday, it will have a new mobile unit in the city of Buenos Aires to replace the one that was burned during the attack suffered by journalist Orlando Morales.

Last Wednesday, in the coverage of the treatment of the Bases Law in the National Congress, Orlando was attacked by a group of vandals, who turned the radio car over and threw cardboard and gasoline to set it on fire.

After the attack, this Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. a new mobile in Congress Plaza, in the same place where the incidents occurred.

“On Tuesday at 10:30, in the Plaza del Congreso, journalist Orlando Morales will find a new cell phone in the same place where the previous one was vandalized, last Wednesday,” reported the journalistic director of Chain 3Sergio Suppo.

“Let no one stop journalism. Journalism, always. The commitment to freedom of expression does not go down in flames,” Suppo said in a statement.

The call has already received support from different colleagues and media. Thus, the Perfil portal announced the event that will be held under the motto: “The commitment to freedom of expression does not catch fire.”

In that sense, the expressions of the director of Cadena 3 de Córdoba, Sergio Suppo, were recalled: “Journalism does not stop, it does not set fire or vandalize itself. It was our turn, but they attacked journalism,” he highlighted.

“We do not believe that this is a personal attack against Cadena 3, but we do not ignore that when a media outlet’s cell phone is set on fire it is an attack against freedom of expression and journalism,” Suppo explained in dialogue with Radio Rivadavia.
