A serious traffic accident occurred on the Monterrey-Yopal highway at 12:40 on June 16, where two vehicles collided in the jurisdiction of Aguazul Casanare.
The first vehicle, a gray Chevrolet car with license plate KLP236 driven by Juliana Andrés Ordeñes Restrepo, had an open right hand injury and was traveling in the company of Sandra Liliana Palma Ramírez diagnosed with a fractured right arm, Martha Lucia Ramírez Gonzales with lacerations in different parts of the body and two minors, a 10-year-old with a fracture in his left arm and a 5-year-old with lacerations in different parts of the body, who were transferred to a health center due to their injuries and some of them still remain under observation.
The second vehicle involved was a crane truck with license plate TLP529, operated by Camilo Alfonso Rosas Fonseca, who did not suffer injuries. According to preliminary reports from the authorities, the tow truck hit the car due to an apparent failure in one of its tires.
The road was closed for several hours for the rescue of a passenger trapped inside the car and the subsequent removal of the damaged vehicles.
