The National Police have arrested two men in Córdoba as alleged perpetrators of an attempted robbery in a home after being surprised by the residents of the property who were preparing to mark, using plastic tokens, to later rob.
As the Police have indicated in a note, the events occurred on May 25 in the vicinity of Airport Avenue. On the occasion of the celebration of the Fair of Our Lady of Health of Córdoba, a device was established to reinforce the prevention of home robberies in certain areas of the city, made up of personnel from the National Police in Córdoba from different areas, all they in civilian clothes.
Thus, in the middle of the afternoon of the designated day, several agents who were part of the device noticed the presence of two men who were walking along Airport Avenue and who were of interest to the device in question, so a discreet follow-up of the men began. themselves. During it, the actors observed how both individuals adopted strong security measures, looking at all sides of the street, and, taking advantage of a neighbor coming out of a doorway, they managed to enter it.
The agents waited outside the building at their exit, who, minutes later, left the building through the same door, fleeing, being followed by several neighbors who shouted at them “thieves, thieves.”
They were immediately pursued by the National Police, who ordered them to stop, and were finally intercepted and detained by the agents involved.
At the time of the arrest, the agents observed how one of the detainees threw several objects under a vehicle, which turned out to be plastic used to open doors as well as a folded piece of paper, used as a witness, with which the alleged suspects The perpetrators marked the doors of the homes so that days later, after verifying that no one had entered or left the home, they entered with the intention of robbing them.
In addition, among his belongings, other small, folded plastics were seized, which they used as witnesses to mark the doors of the homes. Both individuals were arrested for an alleged crime of attempted robbery with force, and were brought to judicial custody, who agreed to their release with charges.
