Havana Cuba. – A delegation from the Cuban Ministry of Transportation traveled to Russia in recent days with the aim of exchanging with banks and businessmen to find feasible formulas for the recovery of this sector on the Island.
In response to a comment left on his Facebook page, the Minister of Transportation, Eduardo Rodríguez Dávila, indicated that alternatives were explored and variants were sought to increase exports to the island.
Among the most notable things obtained as a result of these negotiations in Russia are the acquisition of 400 Gazelles minibuses, more than 300 Lada brand cars for the taxi service and nearly two thousand trucks and trailers from the manufacturer Kamaz and 100 GAZ trucks.
However, he clarified that a part of these investments are currently out of compliance due to lack of spare parts, since the country’s financial situation has prevented the purchases from materializing.
