Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Internet of Things for Wind Energy”this is what the first large-scale laboratory in Chile that will use this type of technology will be called.

This innovation project is part of the alliance of the startup Ecometric, which is dedicated to mediation and management of noise pollution in construction, wind and industrial areas, together with the international company specialized in renewable energies, Innergex Energía Renovable.

Specifically, the laboratory will be installed at the Cuel Wind Farm, in Los Angeles, Biobío Region, where it will be used to continuously monitor noise with AI, to optimize and maintain the park.

Thanks to the aforementioned technology, Accurate data can be obtained in real time to reduce impacts and avoid technical failures. In addition, this information will be used to improve the business model of companies with a view to international immersion.

In this sense, the CEO of Ecometric, Angelo Cares, pointed out that “The project will also contribute to the creation of specialized jobs and to strengthen the country’s energy matrix, supporting transition efforts towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.”

“This laboratory will allow the development and testing of advanced technologies that could improve the efficiency and sustainability of wind farms, a key source of renewable energy”he added.

Besides. The Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Manager of Innergex Renewable Energy, Alejandro Donoso, highlighted that “These measurement studies will be works that will directly benefit the surrounding communities, by being able to mitigate in time and scale the impacts that these may generate; but also for our company, since these devices will be able to detect mechanical failures more quickly, allowing us to arrive with a solution in real time.”
