The cyclist of the (NU Colombia), Rodrigo Contreras remains the leader after the third stage was held this Monday, June 17. During the 168 kilometers, starting from the municipality of Cota and ending in Mariquita, Tolima, Contreras had a good time difference with respect to his other pursuers. The stage was vital for the aspirations of Rodrigo Contreras and other cyclists close in the general classification due to the difficulty in demanding terrain. With several mountain passes, along the 168 kilometers, a complex route was marked, but the general leader did not suffer in continuing at the front.

The race passed through municipalities in different departments of Colombia, starting in Cota, Siberia, El Rosal, Alto del Vino, La Vega, Villeta, Guaduas, Honda and Mariquitathe latter, as the final point.

In the last kilometers, after the mountain points, the cyclists staged an attractive finale in search of winning the third stage and taking advantage of the general classification. An exciting route had to end in a sprint fought between the cyclists in the competition.

In fact, Alejandro Osorio and Sergio Luis Henao accelerated to lead the outcome, beating Juan Tito Rendón who arrived three seconds behind Osorio and Henao. The stage winner achieved his second in these three days, but is still far from Rodrigo Contreras in the general classification.
