The Third Division of the Army announced that the troops of the Rapid Deployment Battalion No. 12 and the Rapid Deployment Force No. 4 are fighting strong combats against alleged members of the residual organized armed group structure Carlos Patiño and GAO-r second marquetalia in the rural area of El Plateado in Argelia, Cauca.
These structures, during the fighting, have launched various improvised explosive devices at the civilian population, which affected an establishment and a home.
So far, the first reports indicate that there have been no fatalities, although after the impact, several local residents have been affected by the explosion.
One of the residents of the place mentioned that there are two bombs that have already fallen. “One was near a hardware store, and today we were almost deaf with the explosions,” he said.
“Please don’t throw those bombs at us, we civilians have nothing to do with the conflict. “We are very nervous,” they requested.
This incident left three soldiers injured, and an Army patrol was also attacked with explosives and rifle rounds.
