Bavaria celebrates a great milestone of the Bavaria Entrepreneurs Program, a pillar of the company’s sustainability strategy and is committed to productive inclusion, which since 2017 has benefited more than 67,000 micro and small businesses from the traditional channel (mainly made up of neighborhood stores).

Its intervention scheme is based on a training model in commercial management, digitalization and financial inclusion, which has a direct effect on increasing its income, improving its processes and sustainable business growth.

According to the impact measurement of this program carried out by the firm Econometrica Consultores, thanks to the initiative, the beneficiaries show an average growth of the 30.8% in the total income generated by your business.

The same measurement showed that the 16.3% of participants increase their access to financial services and through an alliance between Bavaria and Bancamía for this program, in 2023 more than COP $8,221 million in investment loans for working capital were disbursed. Likewise, on the digitalization front, which is one of the most relevant in the competitiveness of contemporary businesses, entrepreneurs had an increase in the use of digital platforms of 34.9%.

According to Fenalco, Colombia has more than 500,000 businesses that make up the traditional channel, which represent 40% of the country’s businesses and employ nearly 575,000 people.

With a unique capacity to adapt to dynamic market conditions, neighborhood stores remain one of the preferred purchasing channels for Colombians and as an epicenter of socioeconomic development.

Aware of this and regarding the achievements of its program, Bavaria launched a digital series on its social networks called ‘The last one and we are leaving’, with which it seeks to highlight the progress trajectory of these Entrepreneurs and invite clients and consumers to follow building those unique stories that are lived in neighborhood stores.

The president of Bavaria, Sergio Rincón, expressed that the shopkeepers They are your business partners, because without them we would not be able to reach their consumers the way they do.

“Emprendedores Bavaria is our commitment to continue growing together and be increasingly competitive, that is why we wanted to tell these stories and make them the protagonists of our communications. Our new series ‘The last one and we’re leaving’ highlights the efforts of those thousands of entrepreneurs and invites Colombians to continue building stories in stores, the heart of the neighborhoods of our country,” he indicated.

The chapters of the series will be published every week on the brewery’s networks and each of them will highlight the unique value offer of neighborhood stores, the stories of their protagonists, the ecosystem of the neighborhoods and the vision of consumers From there, your favorite place to enjoy emblematic drinks of the country such as Águila, Poker and Club Colombia beers.

In recent years, the program has added important allies, including other companies, Government, Chambers of Commerce and International Cooperation, to articulate efforts around the strengthening and progress of neighborhood stores.
