The Attorney General’s Office continues in the double homicide investigation committed during the early hours of June 8 on a farm in Envigado, Antioquia.

The investigators’ findings determined a few hours after the crime that the victims were the music producer Daniel Alejandro Velásquez Franco and his partner, Sofía Riascos Valdés.
Likewise, evidence in the possession of the investigating entity indicates that during that early morning, one of the producer’s close collaborators would have made an attempt on their lives. The accused was identified as Julián Alberto Quintero Agudelo.
The Prosecutor’s Office’s account of what happened in Envigado
In one of the hearings being held against Quintero Agudelo, The Attorney General’s Office provided a hypothesis about what could have happened on the Envigado farm where the double crime was committed.
“The meeting ended around 1:30 in the morning, with Mr. Alejandro and his butler, Julián Quintero Agudelo, staying there, chatting and drinking liquor, which turned into an aggressive conversation of words, which made that “You, Mr. Julián, will activate your weapon at one opportunity.”assured the representative of the Prosecutor’s Office.

It is said that the accused murderer would have used a nine millimeter weapon that they had for the security of the property.
According to the investigating entity, after the attack on the music producer, Quintero Agudelo would have gone to the main house to murder Riascos.
“Subsequently, you went to the main house of that lot, where the young Sofía Riascos Valdés was sleeping, on the second floor, whom He approached him and shot him in the head.“said the investigative entity.
The confession of the accused murderer
In one of the hearings held by the justiceQuintero Agudelo acknowledged his participation in the double homicide.
“I was Daniel Alejandro’s right-hand man and we even loved each other a lot. I was the one who killed them both“: with these words, the main suspect in the events confessed to the crime and provided more details of what happened during the early hours of June 8.

The alleged murderer acknowledged before a guarantee control judge that he was meeting with producer Velásquez in a space in the home known as “el patch” along with three other people.
At the end of the meeting, the victim would have asked Quintero, who worked on his farm as a butler, to give him his opinion on the conclusions of the meeting.
However, after several glasses of brandy, Velásquez Franco would have touched on a family issue that involved Quintero Agudelo’s family.
The discomfort at the meeting occurred since the butler had a personal relationship with the victim, since she was a relative of his ex-partner and the mother of his two children.
According to the suspect, Velásquez told him that his mother could no longer live in the property and that he had to find a place to go.
They bid farewell to the artist in Antioquia with a Eucharist.

After the heated discussion, Quintero Agudelo would have committed the crime. “I ran home, I grabbed the traumatic pistol and I went up to where the chapel was being held and I shot. Right there I called the door to have an urgent surveillance patrol locate me and in the same way I told the doorman not to let anyone out,” the alleged murderer told the prosecutor.
